KM's Farewell

Share Another long due photos that I should have processed and posted. Can't remember the date for this one. This is another farewell, for Kok Ming a.k.a KM. I knew him since I joined Datacom, too. I remember he was the 1st person who spoke to me on the first day I am there. He thought me a lot when I am working along with him. He thought me even more when I am working under him. He's a good boss. Help me a lot, covered my ass a lot, gave me lots of advice. He has good leadership skills and has a very good vision of what is going to happen next.

We are both into taking photos. It was great fun. Well, what started out as co-worker, now becomes good friend. Within a short time after I left, another 2 left. (There are others but no photos or farewell). Anyway...we had this farewell at a place in KL known as Munakata. A buffet style Japanese restaurant. Well, I won't be going there for farewell again. I'll go if it is a small group. Why? Well they cook everything on the spot for you. Means a lot of waiting time and the menu is really limited, the food portion is really...well..small. We ordered the same thing like so many times. And each order we had like 30 plates of stuff for 5 persons. So you can guess how slow it is and how small is the portion. Not much photos on this one because I am busy eating. I was hungry :(

A Visit to Sekinchan

Share This are some long overdue photos from Sekinchan. I went there with Roy and SH one Saturday morning in November. Man, I had to wake up really early. Bringing the camera along. I was supposed to go meet Roy at his place, which I had some problem finding. After a few u-turns and a millions phone call, I was there. So off we go to have breakfast at some place, which I can't remember the name. Then we are off to Sekinchan. Took us roughly 1 hr 45 mins I would say, through all the winding road, uphill and downhill. Talked a lot on the journey. It was a dark and gloomy weather. But we were kinda lucky when we reached there, the sun came up. And so we get a great view of the paddy field. There are a bunch of others photographer there with their models. Nice to know that people are still willing to wake up early to do photo shoot. Here are some of the photos I managed to get that day.

Canon PhotoMarathon 2009

Share Attended this year Canon PhotoMarathon 2009. Registration starts at 7am and shooting starts 9.30am. Together we all start off with some rain tagging along. I reach there around 7.40am. Not much people in that area but a lot of staff. My guess is the staff there are efficient and everyone has been registered. Upon reaching the Elephant Walk entrance, the guards told me, no entry to the car park. You have to park at Monash University parking. So I had to parked there and walked to the registration venue. Not that far luckily. KM parked at Sunway Resort...that's like 20 minutes walk away. So I ain't complaining about parking at Monash University. And it only charges me RM2. Fair enough :)

Anyway, after spending like half a day there in Sunway Lagoon without much luck and without any good idea and understanding of the theme, I still manage to get photos for the 3 themes. Photo sucks and very beginner. So here are my entries for the 3 themes. For other photos, it will have to wait because it is very tiring.

Joo Hwee's Farewell 2009

Share It's been a while since I last updated this little blog of mine. The main reason? Well been having troubles with uploading my photos to this blog. Check out the PhotoMarathon entry and you'll get the idea. Nevertheless, I am a bit free today(for a few hours before I go back to my chores) I thought I'd give it another shot at uploading some of my previous collection. Mostly personal. So I'll kick it off with Joo Hwee's Farewell.

Joo Hwee, a friend I knew back when I joined Datacom in September 2007. She thought me a lot of stuff and gave me good advice. A good singer too. One of the frequent karaoke kaki. Yup she decided to leave the company for a better opportunity out there. We had a little farewell thingy for her at New York New York, 1 Utama. A simple dinner with the gang.

Poh Kong Fashion Show

Share Managed to filter and post process the photos from Poh Kong Fashion Show. It took me hours of pain sitting in front of the PC. Spend 1 week on it. (After being pressured). Not sure how well this blog handles photos. So I will give it a try. I have included a link to the photos collection. So let's try this new blog capability to handle high res photos.
