James and Cathy’s Solemnization Ceremony

Share

Date: 25th December 2009
Time: Evening
Weather: Rainy
Location: Raffles Marina @ Singapore

I was lucky to be able to make it for James and Cathy's solemnization ceremony when I was in Singapore to celebrate Christmas. She's Angel's colleague and since I was there, so I just tag along. It was a long journey there. And to make it worse, it was raining really heavy. And it did not help when the cab driver don't know the way but keep insisting he knows and he blames the rain when is lost in that area. Round and round we went and we are still lost. Only when we start giving suggestion on direction then we managed to get there. Dumb cab driver and the fella did not even have the initiative to say sorry or give us a discount on the cab fare.

At the ceremony everything was relax and easy going. The solemnizer was a funny man. Everything went well except for the rain. A professional photographer was there. And oh my, what big gear and what a fancy flash thingy that he used. Well I did not use any sort of thingy. Not even a diffuser. (well, I wanted to use but I am too lazy to go buy one. Haha)

The journey back was interesting. Talked to the CFO of the company that Angel work in. Harold. Talked about computer stuff, photography stuff and movies, Avatar!. All this while we are seated in a BMW 5 Series, black. How cool is that? Anyway, talked to much...here are some of the non professional, no diffuser on flash unit photos.

A very relax and simple ceremony. No troublesome ceremony and tradition thing.

James and Felicia’s Wedding

Share

Date: 6th December, 2009.
Time: morning. (i remembered I wake up in the morning, I swear :P)
Weather: Hot (really hot)
Location: Ipoh.

Big day for my good ol’ friend, James. It was his wedding day. And the lucky girl, Felicia. Congratulations to the both of them. I am invited to be heng dai. Well at the same time I took the opportunity to do some practice. Chee Chun was there as photog too. Well they hired a good photog for the event. He was, however stationed at Felicia's place. So me and Chee Chun shoot whatever we have at James's place. Note to self, make sure to wear easy take on and take off shoes for events like this. Heck I spend most of the time wearing and taking off my shoes when I should be shooting. And thus missed out a lot of good photos. Lucky Chee Chun was there to cover everything. So here are the photos, up till the dinner. A lot of photos, so bear with me.
